WiFi & networking, installed by your local sparky

We're a fully licensed Tasman/Nelson electrical company that has been running its own wireless internet network for years. Cabling, access points, comms cabinets, business networks, done right, the first time, by people who actually run networks for a living.

Sound familiar?

WiFi keeps dropping

Smart TV buffers, video calls freeze, kids complain it's "rubbish." Usually it's a router doing a job it was never sized for.

Dead spots

Strong signal in the lounge, nothing in the back bedroom or the sleepout. Almost always solved by putting an access point in the right place, not by a bigger router.

Too many devices

Phones, laptops, smart TV, console, doorbell, security camera, the kids' iPads. Modern households need a network designed for it, not the box the ISP sent in the post.

What we install

Whole-home WiFi

UniFi access points placed where they actually work. One network across the whole house, indoor and outdoor.

Cat6 / Cat6A cabling

Runs to every room, terminated properly, tested and labelled.

Comms cabinets & racks

Tidy patch panels, switches, ISP equipment all in one place. No more "router on top of the bookshelf."

Business WiFi & guest networks

Separate guest WiFi from your back-office. Manage bandwidth so one customer streaming Netflix can't kill your EFTPOS.

Network design for new builds

Pre-wire while the walls are open. Cheaper, tidier, and future-proof.

Ongoing support

We don't disappear after install. One number to call when something stops working.

Business networks built to survive the lunch rush

We've built and rescued networks for cafés, motels, offices, manufacturers, and accommodation providers across Nelson and Tasman. Most "the WiFi is broken" calls turn out to be a network problem, not a WiFi problem, and most local IT shops can't pull cable through walls.

We do both. One team, one invoice.

  • A site survey before we quote
  • Structured Cat6 cabling to wall outlets and AP locations
  • A managed switch and a comms cabinet
  • UniFi access points sized for actual peak load
  • Separate guest WiFi with captive portal (if you want it)
  • Bandwidth management so the EFTPOS gets priority
  • Remote support, we can usually fix things without driving out

Pre-wire it once. Don't retrofit later.

The cheapest time to install network cabling is while the walls are still open. After the gib goes up, every cable run gets at least three times more expensive, and never looks as tidy.

We rough-in network cabling alongside the electrical wiring, so you only have one trade on site. We coordinate with your builder, plan AP locations before the architect signs off, and install the comms cabinet so the network is live the day you move in.

If you're building a home, fitting out a new commercial space, or doing a renovation big enough to open the walls, talk to us early. The day before the gib goes up is too late.

Why people choose us for this work

Sparky and network installer

We're a fully licensed electrical company that also runs its own wireless ISP. Most local competitors are one or the other, we're both. That means one site visit, one quote, one invoice, and no "that's not my job" finger-pointing between trades.

We use the same gear we sell

Our wireless ISP runs on the same Ubiquiti / UniFi platform we install for our customers. We support thousands of devices in the field every day, so when something goes wrong on your install, we know what to do, usually remotely.

Common questions

Will I need a new router?

Not always. Sometimes the existing router is fine and we just need to add access points. We'll tell you straight at the site visit.

Do you install Starlink?

Yes, we can install Starlink dishes and integrate them with your home or business network. We can also offer our own wireless internet plans for rural properties where we have coverage.

Do you do EFTPOS or POS network setup?

Yes. We'll set up your network so EFTPOS, POS, and back-office traffic are properly segregated and prioritised.

Will you take down old cabling?

Yes, part of every cabling job is leaving the site tidy. We label everything and remove what's no longer needed.

How much does a typical job cost?

It depends on the size of the property and the number of access points needed. Whole-home WiFi installs typically run from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand. We'll give you a fixed quote in writing after the site visit, with no obligation.

Do you offer support after the install?

Yes. Most issues we can resolve remotely, often the same day. For on-site work, we book in like any other job, usually within 1-2 working days.

Ready for WiFi that actually works?

Book a free 30-minute site check. We'll diagnose the problem, recommend the fix, and quote it in writing. No pressure, no jargon.
